18th Anniversary Celebration @ Tambaram Music Club

21st July 2013 - That was a musical evening at Tambaram Music Club on the eve of the Sabha's 18th Anniversary Celebrations.

Dr.V.Padma who inaugurated the function by lighting the kuthuvilakku expressed her happiness to be a part of the Sabha's activities. She also added the medicinal value of music and how it resolves stress related issues.

Chief guest of the function Sri.N.Balasubramanian(Secretary, Brahma Gana Sabha) extended his happiness & privilege to be a part of the evening celebration. Understanding the responsibilities & pain of running a sabha especially in a suburb like Tambaram, he appreciated Nagai.S.Bashyam & Smt.Choodamani Bashyam for doing service to Carnatic Music for 18 years. He also told the rasikas the importance of taking forward this divine art and what it does to us in return - happiness, spirituality, dharma chinthana and all positive vibrations. 

He released the CD "Fundamentals of Carnatic Muisc" by Nagai.S.Bashyam. The CD took its shape because of the able support by the music director Sri.Satish Varshan who is also a disciple of S.Bashyam.

Sri.T.V.Sankaranarayanan also outlined the growth of the sabha and support & hospitality provided to the artists. He was happy to be a part of the TMC family.

This was followed by the excellent vocal concert by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri.T.V.Sankaranarayanan. He was accompanied by Sri.S.Varadharajan(violin) and Melakaveri Sri.Balaji(Mridangam).
