Tambaram Music Club celebrated its 13th Anniversary Function on 27th July '08. Disciples of Shri S.Bashyam entertained the audience by singing classical tamil songs before the commencement of the program. The Musical evening was inaugurated by Smt. Thilakavathy Ramachandran(Trustee, Sakthi maariamman Engg. College) by lighting the kuthuvilakku. Prayer song was rendered by Tambaram Sisters(Girija & Pushya). Chief guest for the function Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri T.K.Govindha Rao gave a classic speech about the sabha and he also added some regulations to be followed by the youngsters stressing the importance of bhaavam n artham. Following this, the other Guests of Honour Shri K.Narayan Rao(Secretary, Garodia Schools), Shri.K.N.Ramachandran(Chairman, Sakthi Maariamman Engg. College) & Shri.V.Narasimhan(Secretary, Asthika Samajam, Thiruvaanmiyur) presented their expert opinions about Tambaram Music Club. The guests were honoured by Shri S.Bashyam(Secretary, TMC) & Shri Keerthivaasan(President, TMC). Prizes were distributed to the winners of TMC Music Contest '08. A grand concert by Shri.T.V.Sankaranarayanan & party marked the Grand Finale of the celebrations.
